It Began with Upheaval

Big changes often do.

The moment we experience a loss so profound, that words cannot describe, we enter into a type of in-between state. Much like the land of dreams, and the land of journeying, and that of meditation, this in-between world of loss opens up for us that which we are still to realize, still to bring fully into our lives.

Such was the experience of two sisters one fall afternoon, after having lost a dear loved one in a violent way. Nothing could ever be the same. Questions were raised, lives examined, old dreams explored, and new ones were born. Out of this space, out of the dreaming world, grew The Lantern Tree.
